Terms of Service

A myBins operator cleaning a wheelie bin

These terms apply when you book any service from myBins. Booking a service — by phone, by SMS, through our website, or by email — means you accept them.

1. Who we are

myBins is a Sydney wheelie bin cleaning, bin placement and rubbish removal business, operated by Real Housework Pty Ltd trading as myBins, ABN 56 157 910 775. You can reach us on 1300 692 467 or at info@mybins.com.au. We operate 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and on Sunday. We are closed Saturdays.

We are a mobile service. We come to you — there is no premises for customers to attend.

2. What we do

  • Wheelie bin cleaning — high-pressure cleaning and sanitising of residential and shared bins, inside and out.
  • Bin placement — taking bins out for council collection and returning them afterwards.
  • Rubbish removal — household rubbish, bulky items, garage clear-outs, garden and vegetation waste, and food and wet waste.
  • Empty My Bins — ad-hoc emptying of overflowing residential bins.

3. What we don't do

We are not a licensed chemical or hazardous waste contractor and we do not remove chemical or hazardous waste. We do not handle wastewater or stormwater. We do not service cafés or hospitality venues. If you are unsure whether something falls into these categories, call us before booking — we would rather tell you who to call than turn up and decline the job.

4. Service area

We service the Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs and City of Sydney. If you are outside that, call and ask — we will tell you honestly whether we can get to you.

5. Booking and access

  • Bin cleaning is performed on your collection day, after the truck has been through and the bin is empty. You do not need to be home.
  • Please leave the bin accessible. If we cannot reach it — locked gate, blocked driveway, bin not out, bin still full — we cannot perform the service, and a missed-service fee may apply.
  • For strata and shared bin areas, please make sure we have whatever access the building requires: a key, fob, code, or a contact on site.

6. Recurring services

Recurring cleans continue on the agreed schedule until you tell us to stop. There is no lock-in period and no fixed term, and nothing renews automatically behind your back — you can cancel a recurring plan at any time by calling or emailing us. We will always let you know in advance if a scheduled date has to move for a public holiday or a change to council collection.

7. Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a booking. Where we are given less notice and the run has already been scheduled, a fee may apply. We extend you the same courtesy — if we have to move your service, we will tell you as early as we can, and we will not charge you for the disruption.

8. Prices and payment

  • Prices are quoted before work begins. Empty My Bins is a flat $49 for a 60–80L bin; larger bins are quoted on application.
  • Quotes for rubbish removal depend on volume and access, and are confirmed before we start.
  • Residential work is payable on completion unless we have agreed otherwise.
  • Strata, agency and account customers are invoiced on 14-day terms.
  • We will tell you before doing anything that changes the price. You will never get an invoice for work you did not agree to.

9. Your bins

Wheelie bins are usually council property. We clean them and we move them; we do not own them. If a bin is damaged — by the collection truck, by weather, or by anything else — let us know and we can arrange a replacement through your council on your behalf.

10. If something goes wrong

If we damage your property through our own negligence, we will put it right. Please tell us within a reasonable time, ideally the same week, so we can look at it while the evidence is fresh.

We are not responsible for things outside our control: council collection changes, weather, road closures, or access being blocked by someone else.

11. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a service falls short, you are entitled to have it fixed, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss.

That paragraph is not boilerplate we are obliged to include and then work around — it is the standard we hold ourselves to. If a clean is not right, tell us and we will come back.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to your booking.

14. Questions

Call 1300 692 467 or email info@mybins.com.au. If something here is unclear, ask — an ambiguous term helps nobody.
